Abby and Ophelia Mysteries
The Abby and Ophelia Mysteries by Shirley Damsgaard aren't what I would normally pick out to read but I came across them in the library and fell in love with them. They are quirky, about a woman and her grandmother who are witches. Ophelia is a quiet librarian who just happens to stumble over dead bodies all the time. Then with the help of her grandmother Abby they solve the murders.
Despite the sounds of it (stumbling over dead bodies) the violence is not graphic and there is no sex or bad language. A completely wholesome read with a mild supernatural element. The series reminds me of the Nancy Drew or Trixie Beldon books I read as a kid only with a modern edge and supernatural twist. I think I'm going to buy the series for my mom for Mother's Day. I think she would love them, too.
Her next book is due out in October but so far no word of the title or anything.
