I’ve always had a thing for men in uniform. Not all uniforms, you understand, I am a little choosy. Military uniforms tend to do it for me; army, navy, air force, marines... And I know I’m not the only one. This was one of three main reasons I decided to put together my erotic anthology, Uniform Behaviour – Steamy Stories About Men and Women in Uniform.

Reason number two was somewhat more selfish – I wanted to prove to myself that I could do it, and do it well. Thirdly, and most importantly, I’m a huge believer in charity and wanted to find a different way to help out, rather than asking for sponsorship money from people.

Uniform Behaviour is special because a percentage of the proceeds goes to UK charity Help for Heroes, an organisation put together to help servicemen and women who have been injured in current conflict. This way, I get the satisfaction of knowing I’m helping a very worthy charity, and the people buying the book are helping out, but they’re also getting something in return.

For this I’m very grateful. I have good friends in the forces, one of which will be spending Christmas in Afghanistan. For them, and everyone else serving their country, this is my way of saying thank you.
