Questions…and Sex Magick Guest Blog and Giveaway with Kiki Howell

Working Out The Kinks

By Kiki Howell

Blurb:

Making an appointment with his ex-girlfriend under a fake name, David buys himself one hour to get her attention. Hoping to apologize and remind her of their time together, he intends to do whatever he has to in order to make Meredith, a practicing Wiccan, forgive him for being idiot enough to have listened to those around him which meant choosing his political aspirations over love.

Meredith is resistant to let David anywhere near her heart again. Desperate, David plays all his trump cards and suggests a sexual magick ritual which incorporates the BDSM lifestyle he and Meredith used to experiment with. The methods he uses may be unconventional, like sensory deprivation and sensation play intended to build trust and to achieve altered states of consciousness. But David is more than willing to do whatever it takes if he can just get Meredith to agree.

Flipping through channels on HBO recently I stumbled upon this naked woman giving what seemed to amount to a sex quizz.

The first question I caught was what combination of smells makes the blood rush to a woman’s pussy the fastest?
A) Men’s Cologne and Feet
B) Butterscotch and Mint
C) Cheese and BBQ
D) Cucumber and Candy (Pictured was Good N Plenty)

So, the answer was D which the woman said they should put in candy commercials. LOL

All joking aside, in a lot of my books, scents play a part in the spells or sex spells being performed. There actually is a science to this stuff, foods you can eat to increase sexual energy, colors and sounds that can do the same. I am a stickler for the details, and I do a lot of research to get those aspects right. One reader once said that when someone asked her for a recommendation for a book on sex magick, she told her friend to read my story The Healing Spell, it was more hands on and told everything one needs to know. I took that as quite the compliment. My latest story, which also involves sex magick (*coughs* and BDSM), is Working Out The Kinks being published by Rebel Ink Press on October 17th. I am dreaming of a Halloween, myself, that involves a little sex magick *winks*

Wondering how this works exactly? Well, beyond scents in these types of stories, sounds and toys and even positions also come into play in the rituals. Sex magick is quiet a complex thing, taken very seriously by those who practice it, as you will notice in my stories. To begin with there is usually a bathing ritual, to clean away daily life both physically and on an energy level.

The next step or two or three, building the sexual energy, tends to be different depending upon the spell being done. Anything from massage, to teasing certain parts of the body, to oral sex to BDSM can be used. This builds the energy used to power the spell from the body. It is during this phase also that ritual elements can be used from candles to oils to stones, etc. The intention of the spell is actually focused on during climax, most of the time.

So you can see why this would take some serious focus to do properly. I am still willing to give it a try. Actually, while you may be surprised to hear that I am not Wiccan myself, and I won’t get into all the complicated religion here. I am a certified Feng Shui practioner, and the Wiccan rituals are often very similar. So, I gather a lot of information from my writing research. A person is so much more powerful, manifesting their own fate, at the height of climax, no matter what you are practicing *winks again*

So, after all of this knowledge, anyone up for a contest?

I’ve created my own question of course *giggles* based upon a factoid I found on the internet.

All you have to do to enter is comment with your guess at the answer.

Two winners will be randomly chosen, one will get a PDF copy of Rituals, another sex magick novella of mine with some light BDSM, and the other winner will get a PDF copy of The Healing Spell.

So, make sure to leave an email address.

Giveaway Question:

Given today’s average frequency of sexual intercourse, it would take the typical American couple how long to try every one of the 529 positions described in the Kama Sutra?

Hint: Pay Attention to the wording of the answers ;) Hey, we should all make this a goal!

A. More than one year
B. More than two years
C. More than three years
D. More than four years

Hi Kiki, loved your blog. I've only done a tiny bit of research on Sex Magick. However, the principles and vibes behind the rituals makes total sense.

Congrats on your latest release! And many happy spells and sells.

As far as answering the question, I wouldn't have a clue... but four years seems about right. ~smiles~

Ok I would really love to win anything for pleasure reading so my answer is going to have to be all of the above, but specifically A. My reason: A is more then one year, however all of the other answers are technically more then one year so are inclusive in A.
Dunno if that makes sense to you all but to me it does. Lol
My mind works in weird ways I guess.
Good luck to all!

It would take more than one year but less than two so the answer is A.
