Interview with Mia Rossi

What inspired you to become an author?

I’ve been writing since I was little, so I knew storytelling would be a part of my life. But I decided to take the plunge once the world of self-publishing and indie publishing opened up to authors like me. The long waits and series of rejection letters were a thing of the past, and that appealed to me. I just wanted to reach readers without gatekeepers making the choices for them. So it was a combination of passion and luck!

Do you write in different genres?

Yes. Mia De Rossi is a pen name. J

If yes which is your favorite genre to write?

Hmm, I enjoy writing in different genres for different reasons. I think erotica is really fun to write because it exercises a different part of the brain (you know, the naughty part!).
Do you title the book first or wait until after it’s complete?

I usually wait till the end, but with College Bound, the series name came to me right away. I waited to title individual stories until after they were written, though.

If you had to choose, which writer would you consider a mentor?

I think Selena Kitt is a fabulously talented erotica author, and I’d love to be her when I grow up. J

What book are you reading now?

REAL by Katy Evans—so good!

What books are in your to read pile?

Relentless by Cassia Leo, Bared to You by Sylvia Day, and Release Me by J. Kenner.

Do you have any advice for other writers?'

Don’t stop learning the craft, keep writing, and don’t give in to despair! It’s a tough industry to succeed in, but you’ll find your niche if you persevere.

The Roommate Solution

Kayla Masters came to the University of Chicago with one goal in mind: Sleep with an older man.

When she meets Professor Kane, a handsome, willing educator, she thinks her fantasy might just be fulfilled. But then, unexpectedly, Professor Pearson, a beautiful lesbian, shows up to their night of passion.

Could this rendezvous turn into something hotter than Kayla had ever imagined possible? And will Kayla get the education she so eagerly seeks?
