Do you title the book first or
wait until after it’s complete?
I wait to title it when
it is complete. I always do an outline, but it always changes based on what the
characters do and how they take the story.
Is there a message in your novel
that you want readers to grasp?
That life is full of
ups and downs and twists and turns. Life is hard and unpretty and challenging,
but there is good and beauty and just takes the right kind of character to make
your life the way you want it. No matter how bad it is, there’s always good.
Is the book, characters, or any
scenes based on a true life experience, someone you know, or events in your own
life?
Always; all of it. Some
things or places really play a role in the creative process. People I encounter
or know sometimes become a character or their life experiences tend to have a
part in the story.
What book are you reading now?
I don’t read while I’m
writing. I wish I could. I have a wishlist a mile long, but I don’t want to the
chance anything influencing the story in my head.
What books are in your to read
pile? A lot of new stuff.
The Mortal Instruments
series, Veronica Roth’s series, anything J.K. Rowling will put out from Harry
Potter.
What is your current “work in
progress” or upcoming projects?
‘The Noru.’ I have
‘Blue Rose,’ the first in the new series completed and released, but the second
book is in the works.
Can you share a little of your
current work with us?
"After
speaking to the other angels on the team, I hang up my cell and sigh. No one's
heard from Aaden in months. This bothers me not only as the leader but as his
girl--well if I was his girl--which I'm not.
Great. Now on top of being grounded, I'm sitting
here acting girly and needy. Argh!!!
Screw this! I start to head downstairs to plead my case to my parents again, when something out the window catches my eye. I lean in closer to get a good look. What I see astounds me: soundlessly and without hesitation, the humans line up and jump off the roof one at a time..."

Do you have to travel much to do
research for your books?
I do travel a lot and
the places or cultures always end up in my writing one way or another.
Who designed the cover of your
latest book?
Renu Sharma. She is
incredible. She has an amazing vision and really works with her clients to get
the best product.
Do you have any advice for other
writers?
Just keep writing.
Don’t stop. Don’t let anyone tell you not to or it’s not good enough. Even if
you have to change a lot of it, just write, write and keep writing.
Guardians: The Girl
Guardians
Book One
Lola StVil
Genre: Young Adult Paranormal Romance
ASIN: B006VRXR42
Cover Artist: Renu Sharma
Book Description:
The prophecy says I will fall in love with team leader and Angel, Marcus Cane. The prophecy also says that our love will cause his mission to fail and end the world.
Whatever.
This human is not worried. Why?
Because I do not intend to fall in love with Marcus.
The truth is I hate him. I hate his warm brown eyes with flecks of gold, his chiseled face and broad shoulders.
I hate how over protective he is just because a few thousand demons are after me.
In fact, I couldn't care less about Marcus or his perfect telekinetic girlfriend.
And when I see him holding her, I don’t die a little inside…

Excerpt:
Sitting there in the car, a part
of me bitterly resented what she was doing to me. I knew it wasn’t her fault.
But does she have to be so...
alluring?
I need to focus on something else
besides the spot between her earlobe and neck. It looked so soft.
Her lips were slightly parted as
she looked out the window. I wanted to part them further with mine. I put both
my hands on the steering wheel. I could not allow myself to let go until she
was out of the car.
Suddenly she leaned in and kissed
me. It was far better than I could even begin to explain to you. I've fought
and died a slow and painful death on earth.
And nothing, NOTHING can compare
to how hard it was for me to pull away from her lips. I don't think any angel
could to do it twice in a lifetime...
