Hi there! I’m Sheri Williams, and I’m here to talk with you
about collaboration. A great topic in general, but even cooler when talking
about writing a book! I have been super blessed to be able to have done a
collaboration twice, but the one I am here to talk about today is Gingerbread
Dreams. I’ve had the best time working with the folks at Silk Words so when the
opportunity arose to do a collaborative work for them, I jumped at it!
Working in a set of parameters can be hard, but when the
people you are working with are so open about helping you and listening to your
ideas, then it makes it worth the extra creative energy. Along the way of
planning this Christmas story, I’ve talked to new authors I’d never known
about, I’ve learned about new ways to market, and I’ve learned how to better
interact on Yahoo Groups and Google hangouts.
I also wrote a kick butt story, or at least, I hope I did.
I’ve not had the chance to read the branches the other two lovely ladies came
up with, so I will be able to have fun with the pick-your-path just as much as
any reader who picks up our story. The folks at Silk Words make writing such a
joy, and the interactions I’ve had with the other two writers, Skye and
Erzabet, have been incredible as well. Both ladies have had much more
experience than me, and they have both been easy to converse with and helpful
in this new endeavor.
