Do you write in different genres?
I certainly do, under a different pen name, though it’s very important to me to keep my pen names separate. But to make a living as a writer, I feel it’s important to be diverse.
If yes which is your favorite genre to write?
I absolutely loved writing Love Me For Me, which was my first New Adult novel. Probably because in my head I think I’m still in college!
How did you come up with the title for your latest book?
I had gone through a series of not so great titles when the book was done. A friend of mine who is in PR suggested Love Me For Me, and it just stuck.
Do you title the book first or wait until after it’s complete?
I like to at least have a working title, but quite often that gets changed.
Is there a message in your novel that you want readers to grasp?
When I was writing it, I was trying to show that a woman can stand up for herself without needing a Prince Charming. Of course, having a Prince’s shoulder to lean on in the aftermath is A-OK.
What books are in your to read pile?
I have a ton! The Source of Magic by Cate Rowan. Beautiful Disaster by Jamie McGuire. It was You by Anna Cruise. Wait for You by J. Lynn. Rock Chick by Kristin Ashley. Music of the Heart by Katie Ashley.
What is your current “work in progress” or upcoming projects?
I’m working on Love Me If You Dare, Kaylee’s story. Her secret is revealed, and she gives her hero, Dylan, a run for his money!
Who designed the cover of your latest book?
My good friend Sara Fawkes made the cover. I don’t know how she found the time—she’s a New York Times, USA Today and Amazon bestselling author herself! She also did a good chunk of my editing. She’s been a lot of help on this project!
Do you have a song or playlist (book soundtrack) that you think represents this book?
This is the playlist for Love Me For Me:
Let The Light Shine On by The Eerie Green
Madness by Muse
Never Say Never by The Fray
Girl On Fire by Alicia Keys
Red Solo Cup by Toby Keith
Let Me Love You (Until You Learn To Love Yourself) by Ne-yo

Set Fire To The Rain by Adele

LOVE ME FOR ME
Kate Laurens
Genre: New Adult Romance
A fresh start...
It’s been three years since Serena King learned to say no—no to the boys that were a desperate cry for help, no to the extra weight she put on in self defense, and most of all no to the abuse that has haunted her since she was fifteen. Now a sophomore in college, all she wants is to be normal. The last thing she expects is a guy who can make her want... make her want everything.
A new guy...
Alex Blackthorn is a bundle of contradictions, a sexy dark haired badness who goes slow... deliciously slow. And despite the iron will that has gotten her through the last few years, Serena finds herself unable to ignore the heat that sizzles between them whenever they’re together.
A dark past...
Serena never thought she could be involved in a relationship, but Alex makes her long for things she thought were out of her reach forever. When he finds out her secret... when he finds out what she did to keep herself sane... will he still want her, or he will treat her just like everyone else?
And Alex has a secret of his own.
Recommended for mature readers aged 17+ due to language and sexual content.
