Interview Rubenesque Rapture by Rose Wynters

What inspired you to become an author?

Writing was really something that I never thought I would do, but wanted to. One night several weeks before Christmas, I was sitting by myself and thought why not? The world of The Endurers was already in my head, and the characters were fighting for a way out! I've had a dream of writing paranormal romance that takes everything to the very edge. Life is often full of twists and turns that takes you to the highest of highs, and the lowest of lows. Why shouldn't a book?

Do you have a specific writing style?

I enjoy featuring plus-size heroines in my books. You will see a lot of these in the future, but not always. I'm also all about my characters taking risks and doing all in the name of love. These are not your typical books.

Do you write in different genres?

Yes. Right now, I am releasing books in the paranormal romance, erotic romance, and plus size (BBW) genres. In the future, I will also be releasing time travel romances, as well as some historical romances.

If yes which is your favorite genre to write?

All of the above, honestly. I can't say I've enjoyed writing more one than the other. I've yet to write the time travel or historical ones yet, although I have those plotted out.

How did you come up with the title for your latest book?

For me, it was just the perfect title. Rubenesque describes the heroine, and Rapture describes the settings.

Do you title the book first or wait until after it’s complete?

It's usually somewhere during the middle to end of it. I write and wait for the perfect name to pop up.

Is there a message in your novel that you want readers to grasp?

Yes, several actually, but I'd like for the readers to discover these for themselves!

What is your current “work in progress” or upcoming projects?

Curvaceous Condemnation will be released May 7, 2013. It is book 2 The Endurers. Set in New Orleans, it's the story of Scarlett and Vincent. Vincent is a Venetian Endurer that has been tormented by demons to such an extent, Arch was forced to place him in stasis or lose him forever. Ian will be back in this one as well, and he's an Endurer that just can't stay out of trouble with other Endurer's mates. You'll also be meeting Peter. Some know him as Peter the Priest, while others know him as Peter the Playboy. It's really doing to be a wild ride with a very, very unexpected twist at the end.

I am also in contract negotiations for a series called, The Invitation. There will be at least four short stories in this, all relating to a fairy that loves to play matchmaker. Each story will be short, but very intense.

There are several books planned for 2013, so buckle in and be prepared for a wild ride!

Do you have to travel much to do research for your books?

I have traveled some for research on the settings. I feel it's very important to get this just right. You want to capture the heart of the city you are working from.

About the Author :

I've always had a love of the paranormal and romance, and I'm a true romantic at heart. I love taking romance to the highest of highs and the lowest of lows. The hotter the better! You're going to see some pretty wild and crazy stuff in my books, so be prepared!

When not writing, I enjoy traveling and exploring the mysteries of the world. I also like to camp, swim, and even fish. I'm a firm believer that life is meant to be lived, not passing you by!

I have several books that will be released this year. I'm currently working on Book Two for The Endurers series. Look for it towards the end of May. I will also be releasing a werewolf romance series, and a book contains four short stories regarding a fairy trapped in our world. It's going to get very exciting.
