What inspired you to become an author?

I think I’ve probably always wanted to be an author--since I read my first book!

Do you have a specific writing style?

I’m not sure. I think reviewers usually say I write relate-able or believable characters.

Do you write in different genres?

I write spanking romance under the pen name Renee Rose and within that genre, I’ve written everything from Regency and Western historicals to action/suspense and mafia. All of them have the common thread of dominant alpha males and some kinky fun.

How did you come up with the title for your latest book?

This title along with the cover photo was shown to me in a vision, which was a little disconcerting, since I wasn’t sure at first what loose morals had to do with my story!

Do you title the book first or wait until after it’s complete?

I was mostly through writing it when I got the title, and it actually helped me suss out the theme.

Is there a message in your novel that you want readers to grasp?

I didn’t set out to deliver a message, but I do think there’s a message about redemption and healing, forgiveness and transformation. I think when I was writing it, I was mostly concerned with delivering hot sex. :)

Is the book, characters, or any scenes based on a true life experience, someone you know, or events in your own life?

I am a body worker-- a somatic therapist as well as energy worker and some of the “magic” in the book comes from experiences I’ve had.

What book are you reading now?

I’m reading the Masters of the Castle Series by Maren Smith. They are delicious!

What is your current “work in progress” or upcoming projects?

I’m working on a submissive slave auction book about a food critic who is “bought” by the chef she has just destroyed in a review.

Can you share a little of your current work with us?

Here’s a little excerpt from the morning after Sasha meets Charlie, the vampire who follows her home and insists she must help him:

She kept her eyes closed, wanting to stay in the lovely feeling. Memories of the night returned with a jolt—the vampire and the spanking. And the kiss.
